Show Review: 71

Social Distortion is by far my favorite band and I’ll go out of my way to see them. This show was much different than others I’ve seen because of the strange setting. The Palace Theater is set up for movies and musicals, and never did I think I’d see a punk band here. I was online buying the tickets as soon as they went on sale, scoring 9 seats in the 5th row for my friends and family (my dad and sister are also big fans, complete with Social D tattoos) The set was what I expected it to be, with the exception being the omission of ‘Ball and Chain.’ Either way, it was exciting. What may go down as one of the best moments of my life is meeting Mike after the show at the tour bus. He signed an old guitar I had (that I had to run back to the car for after the show). It is one of my prized possessions.
