Show Review: 519

Wow, excellent show– Ness’ voice sounded really good– the croon is still there completely. He made the statement that they almost canceled the show as the band was sick as hell, but the plugged on anyways. Good thing, too, as there had to have been 700+ people there– maybe even closer to 1000. Great venue, too– nice, large, long floor, with upper level that ringed around the club, so good sightlines were present for those upstairs as well. They busted out 3 new songs (1-2 are already a couple years old I’m told but haven’t yet been put on any release). He did say they were in the process of recording a new album, too. I think this one will have plenty of old-school keys/organ in it, too, judging from the sound of the new songs. Great setlist, overall, too, but was kind of surprised at the complete omission of anything from Prison Bound and only one song from White Light, White Heat, White Trash. All told, 1 1/2 hour set…
