went to the 70/10th anniversary shows at H.O.B. lastnight 1/12/11. first off i gotta say i have seen social D. over 20 times, and this had to be one of the best shows mike ness and the gang has put on in years ( if ever ). from the moment they took to the stage they seemed to be in top form. and though there were some songs one would expect from a social D show noone left feeling cheated. we got to hear some good ole favorites, some not heard in a long time, some honerary tributes. and a few from the new album, hard times and nursary rhimes. being a true fan having grown up in fullerton and listened to this band since the beggining, i admit this is a great album. if you have never seen social D before this is a great time to see them, even during tight money times right now, this band is worth every red cent and then some. i have never left a social D show dissappointed, and this tour just proves it. mike ness and the boys of social D are by far the best band on the planet. and as long as they keep playing and keep making those nasty but addictive joints, i will continue to support them. high five social D, from a local fullerton punk. way to knock em dead.
