Walking up to the venue, we noticed the ambulance standing by next to the tour bus. You know it’s going to be a good show. Opening band, I Hate Kate, was phenomenal. They have become one of my favorites. A combination of punk energy, a metal-worthy bassline, and indelible melodic vocals, IHK pounds out a tight, album-quality show. Social D delivered on every expectation – they played all the favorites along with a couple new ones. Crowd response was incredible, mosh pit included. Social D is one of those bands that’s great on CD, but you really have to experience it live.
