Well, I couldn’t be happier that the band chose to play our humble little town in Oregon for the second time (OK, I don’t live in Medford, but a town close enough to count myself amongst the true fans of SD in Southern Oregon.) Again, a tremendous show full of early punk anger, stage presence, and above all, a reminder to us all that rock’n’roll can change people for the better, no matter a shitty venue. I saw several friends, and their kids, and though my youngest was on the stage the last time they played, Mike seemed to “play-down” the idea that its all about the younger ones in attendance, but still appreciated their prominence in a varied crowd, which may I add some of the adults seemed to have crawled from under some massive rocks to ruin the pit. To the security guard, a female may I add, who had to crawl between to gargantuan ‘fighters’ – good for you. I, too, had my kids in attendance and the superficial fighting seemed not only sublime, but I also saw the same “bros” hug after the show. That’s what Social D. brings to the table. Aggression, happiness, memories, and a solid time no matter what is going on around them. I can only hope that they find their way back to our little valley and we’ll get to continue the punk rock tradition here in Southern Oregon. Thanks, boys – no matter where you go, or what you do, your music inspires the necessary elements of our lifestyle and for that we’ll be forever grateful. |

Social D wasn’t going to be anywhere in Washington, and I had to choose between Medford or Boise. Very glad I chose Medford. Social D is probably my favorite band, so I was extremely excited to be there, and they really do not disappoint. They put on an amazing show! I knew they kicked ass live, but OMG. My husband thinks that they sound way better live, and I will probably have to agree. Mike was hilarious, too – “It’s hot as ASS in here!”, “The next song is called BALLS. Just…BALLS! Ladies! Get your mind out fo the gutter!” (before playing Ball and Chain). He also insisted that they stopped being stingy and bring out the keggers for us LOL. The only thing that sucked about the show was that it wasn’t long enough. Next time Social D comes close (hopefully Washington), my husband and I will be there! |

great venue and good crowd. My brain thought I was 16 at the Olympic Auditorium instead of the 42 that I am. my show was cut short due to injury. Outstanding anyway. see you next year |

Great show. Always love how the armory feels in regards to a small venue. Prison Bound Rocked! Drums were up a little too high and Mike could have been turned up a notch or 2. Can’t wait to see you here in Arizona this November. Rock on and I am looking forward to the new CD! |

The show was absolutely amazing. First Social Distortion show I’ve been to, but I’m sure to go to another one before this tour is over even if I have to travel to make it. Mike Ness is amazing and the band sounds just as good as ever. My only complaint is that security needs to allow a certain level of violence to take place at a show, it’s in the spirit of the music. |

My fiance’ and I traveled from Sacramento, California to this show because that was the closest we were going to be to see our band “Social D”. We decided to for go the “Outlands” concert in San Francisco because we would only get to see them for a minimum time and we just would have gone to see this band. The venue was a little different from all the other “club like” times we had seen them, but never the less they did as they always do and “ROCKED IT” like no other!!! Mike and the gang were in great form and the songs they sang are all my favorites. Come to think of it they ALL are my favorites. The ventilation system was HORRIBLE and I think made it alittle harder to breathe with all the bodies smashed up against eachother. We lasted about an hour up fron and then I couldn’t breathe any longer and needed some fresh air. The concert was still as good farther back and out of ther major congestion, but I did miss seeing Mike up close as I always am right up there, too bad for me. I will they would make a round to Northern California after they get back from their Austrailian tour, how awesome for them!!!! I love this band and would travel again just to hear them!!!! Love you guys. XOXO |
