the show was fantastic- the venue not so much!!! as always they sounded amazing but it was difficult to see and I am way too old be hanging out in front of the stage- been there, done that. So we hung out after the show and met Mike Ness- I was speechless!!! |

I have seen Social Distortion many times over the past 7 years. This was by far the best I have seen them. Mike Ness was with it and the band was tight. I have experienced him reading lyric sheets and seeming out of it. I have seen Social Distortion at the Roseland Ballroom in NYC and the energy put into their Rochester show surpassed their performance to a much larger crowd. The small intimate atmosphere was reminiscent of early years and the crowd responded to their melodic guitars and raw lyrics. Definitely the best I have seen them. |

A hot steamy night in Rochester,NY got hotter still with a blazing performance by Mike Ness and the boys. My highlight of the night was “Mommies Little Monster” done energetically and loud! A very enjoyable 100 or so minutes of great songs and fun times. The venue was intimate(too much so), and sound quality varied greatly depending on your vantage point, but for those of us who foresaw the sellout and bought early, a good time! |

social d rocked! the acoustics sucked. the wait for social d to take the stage was excruciating. the action design was probably the worst opening act i’ve ever seen. what was management thinking to let them tag along? to let the fans earn the right to see social d? all in all it was pretty good |

Had such a great time @ the show. I thought Social D fuckin’ killed it. Most fun I’ve had at a show ever. One of the best live bands I’ve ever heard. Left with my SF hat totally soaked through, beer in my shoes, and a little dehydrated, but it was worth every minute. Only bad part was when that kid smacked his noggin on the concrete after crowd surfing. What else can I say other than that I had great fuckin time and that I look forward to the next one. |

Setlist: 1) Road Zombie/Bye Bye Baby Encore: This was my first Social D show and it was absolutely amazing. They sounded excellent. Mike Ness was very energetic and funny and he talked to the crowd a lot. I can’t wait for the new album. Social D, you f’n rock! |

so i went to nolas bar bq because that was the original spot for the show.when i got there, it was not very populatled. i found out it had been moved to water street so i had to book it because i was already two hours late. saw two songs from the last warm up band, they sounded ok. Social D did take a while to get up thier but it was worth it. thier stage presence is pretty strong. and i have seen other punk bands that are younger then them. ie.. Bad Religion, henry rollins etc that when i left the show i felt " man thier getting old!" but this was not the case i felt that mike ness and the boys played with “controlled energy” but still had a harshness to them, at one point mike threaten to knock out a kid and fuck him in the ass. this is after he spit at the band like a Tard.i was glad he did this save that crap for some stupid basement show kid! |
