I took my Old School 44 year old Punk Ass to the show that night. In these later years I tend to stand behind the pit area and enjoy the music. Not sure what hit me that night, but as the boys came out on stage, I got behind the biggest dude in the crowd and plowed my way to the front row center stage where I stayed for the entire show( Not an easy feat). There were plenty of young punks surprised to see my gray haired old school body up front and I must say they took care of me almost as a young son would look out for his/her aging father. Anyway, the show was typical Social D and was awesome. Mulchahys sound sucks if your not up towards the front but it didnt really bother me as to I was up front. Going back to the early 80’s I’ve seen them all and nobody compares to a Social D show except maybe for the Ramones. This was the best Social D (out of about 13 shows)show I’ve seen since, if memory serves me right. 1992/1993 when I saw the greatest show ever at Roseland in NYC. It was a double bill Social D and the Ramones. |

I am a bit late to the party. I’ve been a fan for number of years (20), but never made it out to a show. What a mistake. I’ve seen a lot of live music in my time, this show was one of the best I’ve seen. These O.C. muthafuckers tore the roof off that Long Island club. The sold out crowd was pumped from the beginning of the set until the encore. All these years later and Ness & Company are at the top of their game. Amazing experience. Can’t wait for the NYC show at Roseland. |

Two things happened last month: 1) I went to an Iron Maiden show at Madison Square Garden and was very disappointed. Only 2 of the “hits” were played; I only have the old albums I didn’t even know 14 of the 16 songs played that night. 2) My buddy cancelled on me for the Social D show the night before the show at Mulcahey’s. So I was thinking that maybe I was getting a little too old for this, and getting a little disillusioned with the whole concert experience. Well, I drove the hour to the show by myself anyway. The show last night blew me away. To hear such true rock and roll music played from the heart by these four guys in a close setting. It was a great night, and I thank you for it. An absolute murderer’s row of hits, with some newer songs in between. Even the songs I didn’t know had me into it. What a great band, only getting better as they go! |

Great show last night at Mulcahy’s. The place was sold out and the crowd hung on every lyric and every note. It was a Tuesday night but it felt like a Saturday night. If they are coming to your area…YOU MUST GO! Great set list….here it is (I may be off on the order of a few songs). Bye Bye Baby Encore: |
