Hi gays, Well, about the show, sure, it was very, very, very… marvelous and perfect. Mike Ness voice always fantastic. The set list was impeccable, classics such as Cold Feelings, Don’t Drag Me Down, Bad Luck, etc Unforgettable! Sadness my photos weren’t good. I used my mobile and I was in front the stage, so many people pushing me… Sorry. I was hoarse one week.
I wait to see you here in next tour, ok? Sorry by my English and something wrong.
Many thanks

Hey Mike!

Sao Paulo was the Best show in Latin America’s tour (although the videos show that Argentina was awesome) but it’s not enough man! Sao Paulo was not enough. We listened to what you’ve said: see you next year!
We want more! We want to buy your cd, your t-shirts, consume your art!

We wanna see what you’ve been doing. I screamed a lot: Bakersville!
And you’ve played COLD FEELINGS for me. I know you hadn’t play it in this tour. Anda t the comeback…oh, man, how Nice!

Jonny 2 Bags exploding in front of us.
And I was screaming and seeing you so close
It was really Rock and Roll
And you know there was even a collective bottle of boose around, passing every hand at the line. Everybody drank it.

Our story: My name is Carola, I’m the mother of a big Green Day fan teenager girl. She showed me your music two years ago. DO YOU REALIZE IT?
I’m 43 and, of course, I listen to a loto f rock, but didn’t know SXDX. I looked after it. You Tube hás everything, man!

My 16 years old daughter introduced me to your band
And I was there, at the front row, with her.
Both of us wearing Social’s t-shirts.
Watching Social Distortion play.

I hear what you mean
I understand what you say
We are all survivers in a way.
Seeing your guitar so close, feeling your spit, watching the musicians playing so happy
It was awesome. AMAZING and all this shit

But man, I repeat: we listened so little
Please, release this new songs álbum soon and come to Sao Paulo again to make us happy.
Show us also your solo work.
Here in Brazil we don’t have much CDs selling. I don’t want to download it, I want to have it, buy your album.
Do you know what I mean?

I have to tell you something else. The band is kicking ass.
You’ve played a lot, Mike. You played fuckin’ good.
Brent is a very good bass player, and Adam…uau. Four guys playing our lives there at the stage. Kicking ass for us, that bunch of idiots, dying for its idol.

I’m very happy because we, in a way, are a part of your life.
Because you are a part of ours.
God bless you, Mike.
You, your band, your roddie, everybody!
Big Kisses!

Unexpected, at least for me, under my thumb first song, one of my favorites!
I was ashamed as the two guys Mike Ness called to go on the stage not only were smashed, but also didin´t know any english, well, but what can you do?!
Above all SxDx Rocks!!!

I travelled 586 km, from Belo Horizonte to São Paulo to be at Via Funchal in the April 17th, but if I knew how much it would worth it, I would have travelled thousands of kilometers more to see the Social D. at LA, OC, anywhere. The show was amazing, it was above any kind of expectations, really. The only thing I have to complain is that I expected you to play Story of My Life, Don’t Take me for Granted and a few others, but listening to Cold Feelings and Gotta Know the Rules live was simply incredible.
PS: the picture I uploaded wasn’t taken by me

Well, it was only predictable that the gig would be historical. We’d been waiting for over 20 years for Social D. Both long time fans and new new school kids showed up for the concert. It was worth all the waiting. When Mike took the stage, much like a toreador the crowd went wild. He communicated constantly, despite the language barrier and made himself clearly understood. He had the audience from the moment he made a joke about Rio de Janeiro (we have and onld rivalry with them…) to the last second, saying he would be back next year. We are already waiting!
Fist number was the instrumenatl Road Zombie, followed by Stones Under my Thumb. Then killer versions of Bye Bye Baby and Bad Luck. Amazing. The crowd was singing along even the instrumental parts! Don’t Drag Me Down was one gigantic singalong. Then we had the older Just Wanna Give You The Creeps, Another State of Mind and Mommy’s Little Monster. For me it was just like the first time at a circus or amusement park (have I made myself clear?) I was so happy I couldn’t do anything but stare wildeyed the whole time. Mike called two guys and a kid to the stage, talking to them and making jokes. He had a great stage presence. Midway through the show he announced a new song, which is great, Still Alive. Then we had two encores. In the first one my favs, Sometimes I Do. And then the last encore, with an incredible rendition of Prison Bound, really slow at the beginning and then Ness’ version of Ring of Fire ended the evening.
As I said, worth waiting. Next time, please play more dates here in São Paulo!

I want to say thank you to you come to Brazil last week. I’ve wait something about 10 years to see you at the stage (i wondering if i have to go to Orange County for that) . It was a wonderful show, it’s unbelievable to see so much energy come from you, and how all of this energy can run through our vains. Here, we need the bands like you, witch can take the best feelings (not so cold…) of our hearts make us feeling that we have to believe in something (and indeed we have, but we forget a several times), and showing to the “new school” a better way to live, walking away from violence and drugs. (That was what i would say if you pick me to go to stage).
Thank you very much Social D. and i honestly hope to see you in Brazil next year, who knows with two shows in São Paulo? :)
**p.s.: sorry about my poor english.

Great Show!!!….. i mean we were expecting you guys since ever… so of course it was great…..from the very beginning to the very end the show was aswome…… Mike knew how to talk to the crowd , we had i fell losers who were up on stage, but they could’t understand a word, and then a 11 years old kid “stole the scene”….. that was sensational……he was only 11 years…..Mike gave the kid some advices…..heheheheeh which is not normal….but anyway….. We kind miss some songs like, story of my life, highway 101 , dear lover, i was wrong and others, but i was o.k…..my relief was to know that next year you be here again so we see each other in 2011……..great show guys, and hopefully the next album will be great as all the others were…..cant wait for september……thanks again!!!…..P.S: i have no pics to upload……i wish i had….

After waiting for three decades for a concert, brazilians had a BLAST on April 17th, singing along with the best punk-rock band of all times. The concert was flawless, the set list was perfect…it was worth all the waiting. Leaving the theatre gave us all a nostalgic feeling, we were amazed by the great performance, but sad to think that we might have to wait for a really long time to see Social Distortion again.

Me and my girlfriend, we were there, in the first Social Distortion show in São Paulo, Brazil!! Man, the show was awesome, I can’t find any word to say how great the show was!!
I remember the moment when SD entered the stage, Brent Harding walked into the stage with that "tough guy’’ face, so fuckin’ awesome!! John 2 bags and Adam Atom Willard entered after him, and the last one, oh my fuckin’ lord, Mike Ness almost caused a mass destruction at Via Funchal, lol, people have gone crazy when he finally entered the stage, I was in another state of mind, my girlfriend (Marcela) screamed so loud that my ears hurt. Dude!! It was him, THE MAN, Mike Ness was in front of me, I can’t say it for sure, but he was very close to me, like 3 meters or less, it was the happiest moment in my life!!

Fantastic, perfect! I´m a 38 old punk drummer who grew up on Ramones, Creedence, The Ventures and all the good stuff. I got to know Social Distortion because of Ring Of Fire and that was enough. I just love the driving guitars and the straight powerfull drums (Marky Ramones come to mind). So imagine what it was like for me when yesterday I saw and better yet heard all the classics I listened to for more than 15 years. The energy was just magical. The place Via Funchal is very nice and the sound was really above average. I could just tell that Mike was very happy and touched by the way we were “digging” the concert. Almost every song was sung by the crowd. I had tears in my eyes on at least 3 songs. It´s just too hard to explain how a band can mean so much for “regular” people like us – the fans. Brasil will never forget this day and will probably be counting the days till the next tour here at the land of Carnaval.
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you! Keep Rock music alive, please.
I´ll try to upload some pictures in the few next days.
