YOU KNOW YOU’RE IN FOR A GOOD SHOW WHEN THE EVENING BEGINS WITH "1945". SOCIAL D DELIVERED AGAIN WITH SONGS FROM THE NEW ALBUM AS WELL AS MANY OF THE CLASSICS. TO ME IT WAS A SPECIAL TREAT TO HEAR 3 SONGS FROM "WHITE LIGHT, WHITE HEAT, WHITE TRASH" ("UNTITLED", "DEAR LOVER" & "DON’T DRAG ME DOWN")….DEFINITELY ONE OF MY FAVORITE ALBUMS. CHUCK RAGAN AS OPENING ACT ROCKED, SOCIAL D’S SOUND WAS TIGHT, THE VENUE FELT SORT OF INTIMATE, AND THE CROWD WAS VERY DIVERSE…OR "DEFRAGMENTED" AS DESCRIBED BY MY BROTHER, WHO FLEW IN FROM CHICAGO FOR THE SHOW. OVERALL IT WAS A GREAT EVENING. I’VE BEEN FOLLOWING SOCIAL D FOR OVER 20 YEARS NOW. I HAVE SEEN THEM COUNTLESS TIMES, IN MANY DIFFERENT TOWNS……AND TO THIS DAY, THEY HAVE NEVER DISAPPOINTED ME.
