Social Distortion have announced playing Sonic Boom 2011 in Edmonton, AB, on Sunday, September 4, 2011. Social Distortion are just returning home from their first tour of Australia. Barely on the ground and already talking about getting back… the guys were extremely happy with the way it went and are looking forward to their next tour down under. This past Sunday at the House of Blues in San Diego, Social Distortion fan Marisa Branca presented Mike Ness with a beautiful painting she has done in support of Rock VS. Cancer. Marisa, who has been battling Leukemia and is now in remission, asked if Mike would hand paint some of his lyrics over her artwork.

This art collaboration and many others will be auctioned off this Saturday, Feb. 26, at Rock VS. Cancer at San Diego’s House of Blues. Rock VS. Cancer benefits The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to raise both funds and more importantly cancer awarenss. Click HERE for more information on Rock VS.
