Doing “Making Believe” has always been a big highlight for me in our set. It’s actually one of my favorite songs to do — one we share with Kitty, as she performed this Jimmy Work number herself. Thank you, Kitty Wells, for shakin’ up the boys club, and for all of your great music.

Social Distortion will return to the Houses of Blues in Anaheim, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas this December.

Tickets for these dates will be on sale Friday, July 13.

Social Distortion looks forward to seeing those of you in eastern Canada and the US midwest, southeast, East Coast, and south Texas this October and November. Lindi Ortega will support the band on all dates, and all shows will feature special guests The Biters.

Tickets for all shows will be on sale on June 8 with the exception of Chicago (on sale June 9) and Washington, DC (on sale June 7).

Jonny Two Bags is the first to be featured in the new monthly video series Down the Highway. The episode discusses Jonny’s history in US Bombs, Cadillac Tramps, and Social Distortion, as well as profiles Echopark Guitars’ new signature model for Jonny.

For Down the Highway, musician Ian Harrower rides his vintage Triumph motorcycle across the country interviewing the likes of Keith Morris, Exene Cervenka, Mike Watt, and of course Jonny, among others.

Although, our paths never crossed, we’ve always had great respect for the Beastie Boys. Adam Yauch was a pioneer and a visionary who helped shape the world of music as we know it today. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Adam’s family and friends. You’ll be missed, but never forgotten.

Social Distortion will release a red and orange LP of Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes for Record Store Day in the UK, Germany, and the Netherlands. Each of the 1,000 copies available will come with a “Machine Gun Blues” poster from the video’s premiere in LA.

To celebrate Record Store Day in the U.S., Social Distortion are releasing a limited edition mint green Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes LP and poster set exclusively through participating independent record stores. Each of the 2,000 copies available will come with a “Machine Gun Blues” poster from the video’s premiere in LA, and 1,000 of those posters will be signed by the band.

The mint green LP will only be available in the U.S. European Record Store Day fans, stay tuned for another announcement just for you.
